Automated assembly processes for the stator include on line CO2 laser welding cells, TIG welding or riveting.
Materials processed varies from 1mm down to 0.35mm thickness for high Silicon grades, from 80mm to 180mm outside diameter on conventional belt-driven generator applications (36 to 84 slots) and up to 500mm outside diameter for the new starter / generator hybrid applications.
